NASA Air Quality Applied Science Team Semi-annual Meeting Poster Session

Drinks and appetizers will be provided, through generous funding from the NASA AQAST and the Nelson Institute Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE).
Topics of relevance to the workshop include - but are not limited to:
- Air pollution analysis
- Satellite data analysis
- Development of new remote sensing algorithms or applications
- Atmospheric chemistry
- Measurement of trace gases and aerosols
- Health impacts of air pollution
- Policy and economic air quality issues

The theme of the 2012 annual meeting is "Synthesizing Weather Information for Society: Observations to Action across our communities"
Speakers inlcude Dr. Louis Uccellini, incoming AMS President and Director of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction, Tom Skilling of WGN-TV in Chicago, and Jon Davis, a risk manager and chief meteorologist at Chesapeake Weather.
Special Sessions and events include:
- upcoming and new satellite missions,
- recent advances in satellite meteorology
- new technologies and computing platforms for weather analysis and forecasting, and
- communicating with the public and partners in disaster preparedness and response
