Ángel F. Adames Corraliza Named to 2026 Influential Latinos List

Ángel F. Adames Corraliza, AOS professor and Ned P. Smith Distinguished Chair of Climatology, has been named one of the 101 Most Influential Latinos of 2026 by Latino Leaders Magazine. This annual list highlights the leaders, innovators, and changemakers making an impact across their respective fields and communities.
Adames Corraliza’s research has advanced understanding of the role of moisture in tropical weather and climate phenomena. The magazine notes his “pioneering work [that] has transformed scientific understanding of tropical climate systems while influencing the next generation of researchers.”
The recognition adds to a growing list of recent honors and awards for Adames Corraliza, including the AMS Clarence Leroy Meisinger Award and a MacArthur Fellowship.
